Essays will be judged on content, originality, structure and grammar. Judges will look for writing that is clear, articulate and logically organized. Essay submissions must be saved as a PDF and uploaded into the application form below. Essays should be no longer than 300 words, double-spaced, 12-pt Arial font, with 1-inch margins.

1. If you had to have a motto or slogan for your life, what would it be and why? This could describe your past, future, or something you strive for.

2. Tell us about the career or education you are pursuing. What made you choose that? Why do you believe you could be successful in that career or university/college/school program?

3. Tell us about something you are proud of and why.

I am currently over 18 years of age with a GED or high school diploma, a PEC member or reside in a household served by PEC and in good standing, and plan to attend a university, college, junior college, technical, or trade school to obtain an undergraduate degree or trade certification.
I hereby certify that all information provided in this form and in all attachments is true and correct. I understand that any false or misleading statements contained in any of these documents may result in rejection of my application and disqualification from the Scholarship Program.
